Reuther Rieche advises Luxcara on power purchase agreement for a 121 MW solar project in Spain

2 August 2019

Luxcara, a leading asset manager for renewable energy, and Alpiq, a Swiss energy services provider and electricity producer, have agreed on a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the project Guillena-Salteras.

The project is located in Andalusia, Spain. With a capacity of approximately 121 megawatts, the solar plant will provide more than 53,000 Spanish households with renewable energy. Luxcara acquired the project for institutional investors in December 2018.

Luxcara’s portfolio includes solar and wind projects with a total capacity of more than two gigawatts and an investment volume exceeding 2.5 billion euros.

Alpiq offers various energy-related services, including energy trading, and also operates its own power plants. The Alpiq Group is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange.

Tim Stahlberg and his colleagues advised Luxcara on the negotiation of the power purchase agreement.
