Reuther Rieche advises Luxcara on Finnish wind portfolio

29 October 2020

Luxcara, one of the leading European asset managers for renewable energy, and Keski-Suomen Betonirakenne (KSBR), a Finnish construction company, have agreed on contracts for the Välikangas project in Northern Ostrobothnia (100 MW), the Sievi project in Northern Ostrobothnia (30 MW) and the Pihtipudas project in Central Finland (30 MW).

KSBR will build the foundations and supply the substation, main transformers and cables under turnkey contracts for civil and electrical works. Construction is already on-going. 24 Vestas turbines for the Välikangas project will meet the energy needs of approximately 90,000 homes. 7 Vestas turbines will be build in each of the Sievi and Pihtipudas wind farms. The electricity for this portfolio will be sold directly to corporate off-takers, and the parks are built without any government subsidies.

Tim Stahlberg and Carolin Klüpfel advised Luxcara on this portfolio and the contracts with KSBR.
