Reuther Rieche advises ENERGYNEST on power-to-heat and thermal-storage project with LEONHARD KURZ

1 April 2025

Reuther Rieche has advised ENERGYNEST, a global leader in thermal storage, on its commercial agreement with LEONHARD KURZ, a thin-film technology company with operations in over 50 countries.

KURZ’s products are widely used in automotive parts, electronics and bank cards, as well as in security applications to prevent counterfeiting. Producing these high-tech decorations requires process heat at high temperatures, traditionally supplied by natural gas boilers.

To reduce its carbon footprint, KURZ is integrating ENERGYNEST’s power-to-heat solution at its Sulzbach-Rosenberg facility, replacing natural gas with renewable-based thermal storage.

Tim Stahlberg and Christian Rink have assisted ENERGYNEST on the transaction.
